Korean National Broadcaster Features Hung Kuo as Paragon of Green Building

In late 2025, Korean state broadcaster, KBS, visited Taipei on a green building fact-finding trip as part of a special program about Busan being selected as World Design Capital for 2028. During their visit, they chose to visit Hung Kuo Building as an existing office building that has been transformed into an exemplar of green building performance.

The team from KBS was particularly impressed with our energy and water conservation upgrades as exemplified by the hybrid vegetative and high-solar-reflective roof and rainwater capture and reuse system we installed during our journey to become a LEED Platinum building, expertly introduced and explained by Head of Building Operations and Management, Vicky Chou.
